Burnley’s Andre Gray is reportedly wanted by Newcastle United, Southampton, Stoke City, Tottenham and West Ham United.
Burnley’s Andre Gray
According to The Mirror, Burnley striker Andre Gray looks set to leave the club this summer, with talks over a new contract yet to begin – and a host of clubs are allegedly keen.
Gray, 25, was initially on the books with hometown club Wolverhampton Wanderers, but ended up dropping into non-league football before embarking on his rise back up the leagues.
After 57 goals in 111 games for Luton Town, Gray spent just over a year with Brentford, where his 20 goals in 52 games earned him a big-money move to Burnley.
With 23 league goals last term, Gray fired Burnley to promotion to the Premier League, and his two goals against Swansea on Saturday afternoon took him to eight league goals this season.
A pacey and powerful striker, Gray is one of the top English strikers around right now, and The Mirror claim that he could move on this summer given that Burnley have yet to open contract talks with Gray, who has just over one year left on his deal at Turf Moor.
It’s added that Premier League clubs Southampton, Stoke City and West Ham United are all interested in signing Gray, whilst Newcastle United – seemingly set for promotion back to the Premier League – would also be keen on the striker, given questions over Aleksandar Mitrovic’s future.

The Express add that Gray has become Mauricio Pochettino’s top target at Tottenham this summer, as he believes that the Burnley star is the ideal cover and competition for Harry Kane in the Spurs attack.
It’s unclear just how much Burnley would demand for Gray, but clubs will be hoping to land a bargain given that he’s approaching the final year of his contract, with Burnley possibly looking to cash in before the striker leaves for free in 2018.
