Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Barcelona’s Nelson Semedo.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona full back Nelson Semedo is desperate to leave the club, but they’re refusing to budge on his future.
Semedo, 25, joined Barca from Benfica in 2017, with many touting him for stardom having impressed in his native Portugal with his blistering pace and attacking ability.
The right back started just 20 league games, as well as just five in the Champions League, with Ernesto Valverde preferring to go with Sergi Roberto.
Now, Mundo Deportivo report that Semedo is fed up of his lack of playing time under Valverde, and is now desperate to leave the Camp Nou this summer.
It’s even reached the point where agent Jorge Mendes is in contact with Barcelona pleading with them to let Semedo leave, as they’re currently standing firm on his future.
Any club would have to pay the €100million (£88million) release clause in Semedo’s contract, as they otherwise see him as unavailable for transfer.

Tottenham may be paying close attention, with The Mirror recently claiming that Mauricio Pochettino is keen to bring Semedo to North London as a replacement for Kieran Trippier.
At £88million though, there’s absolutely no chance of Tottenham signing Semedo. They may hope that Mendes can convince Barcelona to sell for cheaper, but it’s more likely that Spurs will move on to other options.
