Everton are reportedly balking at Watford’s £15million asking price for manager Marco Silva.

According to The Mirror, Everton’s majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri is put off by Watford’s £15million asking price for Marco Silva – but The Sun claim a £12million bid may be lodged.
The Toffees sacked manager Ronald Koeman last month after a disastrous opening to the campaign, but almost a month on, David Unsworth remains in caretaker charge.
Unsworth picked up a 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon, and whilst he will seemingly continue until further notice, it has been a little longer than planned given that Everton have failed to land one top target.

An approach for Watford boss Marco Silva failed earlier this week, and The Mirror claim that Watford have now slapped a £15million asking price on their manager – some way from Everton’s £8.5million offer.
The report adds that Everton’s majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri is put off by the £15m demands, which may leave the Toffees searching elsewhere for a new manager.
However, The Sun claim that a £12million bid may be submitted by Everton, who appear to have zeroed in on Silva as their top target to replace Koeman.

Silva, 40, impressed with Hull City last season despite their relegation from the Premier League, and he has already shown signs that he is turning Watford into one of the most exciting teams in the top flight.
The Portuguese boss has endured a nomadic career so far though, and Watford understandably want to keep him at Vicarage Road for the long-term having only appointed him over the summer, meaning Everton will have to cough up huge money to land him.
