According to Get German Football News and partner site Get French Football News, Newcastle United could still make a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Michael Cuisance.
Cuisance looked set to make a move to Leeds United earlier this week, but his switch to Elland Road fell through on Thursday evening.
The Frenchman has a foot issue that became a problem in his Leeds medical, and Marcelo Bielsa didn’t want to wait around for him to recover.
That means Cuisance has returned to Bayern with his future unclear, though it’s referenced in this report that Sky Germany claim Cuisance has been told he needs to go before Monday’s transfer deadline.
With a move to Leeds now off, it’s claimed that either Newcastle or Nice could make moves for Cuisance, having been interested before Leeds came in.
Newcastle may be more willing to take a patient approach over Cuisance’s injury, at least more so than a promoted team looking to establish themselves in the top flight.

The 21-year-old is a talented, creative midfield player who could bring some guile to the Newcastle midfield, but it’s hard to imagine Newcastle paying the (€20million) £18million Leeds agreed to pay.
Maybe a loan deal could work given that Bayern are keen to offload Cuisance before Monday’s deadline, with the youngster in something of a tricky situation after his failed Leeds move.
