According to the Daily Record, Liverpool have taken Hibernian teenager Ethan Laidlaw on trial.
It’s claimed that the 16-year-old striker has been given permission to travel down and train with the Reds this week.
Laidlaw is wanted by Manchester Ciy and Chelsea according to The Herald, whilst Leeds United took him on trial earlier this season.
Hibernian have high hopes for Laidlaw and gave him a first professional deal in February, seemingly realising that interest is mounting.
Laidlaw grew up supporting Hibs, so leaving his boyhood club could be difficult for him, but it’s not often you get a chance like this.
Laidlaw will have seen how fellow Scot Andrew Robertson has become a hero at Anfield after modest beginnings, and may want to follow in his footsteps.

Ex-Falkirk talent Tony Gallacher is still in the Liverpool ranks, and Laidlaw could become the latest Scot to join the Reds.
Add in that Liverpool could beat City to a deal, and the Reds will be really hoping that Laidlaw impresses during his week with the club.
