Manchester City want Kai Havertz amid claims that Arsenal are pushing to snap up the Chelsea attacker this summer.
Arsenal could face a battle with Manchester City in the race to sign Chelsea forward Kai Havertz this summer.
That is according to The Guardian, who claim that City have looking into the possibility of signing Havertz.
Pep Guardiola already has a star striker in Erling Haaland, whilst backup Julian Alvarez has shown his quality too.
Yet with Bernardo Silva and Riyad Mahrez both linked away from the Etihad Stadium, Pep may want another left-footed attacker.
Havertz can play as a 10 or on the right flank as well as up front, making him a versatile option for Guardiola.
The report claims that Havertz has already told Chelsea that he wants to leave the club this summer.
Havertz is out of contract in 2025 and Chelsea will seemingly sell this summer if he won’t commit to a new deal.
It’s stated that Chelsea want a fee of around £70million for Havertz and that Arsenal are pushing to sign him.
That means Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola could do battle once again with Havertz a wanted man.

Arsenal willing to pay Kai Havertz big money
The rumours surrounding Havertz to Arsenal have been moving rapidly over the last 24 hours.
The Daily Mail claim that Arsenal have opened talks to sign Havertz and lure him across London.
It’s stated that Arsenal are willing to pay Havertz more than £200,000-a-week to make the move to the Emirates Stadium.
That is thought to be a similar wage to the one he currently earns at Chelsea.

Yet with Chelsea wanting to give Havertz a new deal on reduced terms, the move to Arsenal will be very appealing financially.
Arsenal surely won’t be paying £70million for Havertz and may look to drive that price down towards £50million.
Havertz certainly has ability but it just hasn’t quite worked as hoped at Chelsea, even with a Champions League-winning goal in 2021.
A fresh start could be ideal for the German and Arsenal will now hope it’s with them rather than Manchester City.
