Reports: Lyon keen to increase Tottenham and Liverpool linked Ndombele’s pay, while sell-on clause emerges

Tottenham and Liverpool are both reportedly keen on Tanguy Ndombele.

Lyon are keen to hold onto star midfielder Tanguy Ndombele despite increasing interest from Premier League sides.

L’Equipe report Tottenham’s interest while Le Progres claims Liverpool are keen.

The midfielder’s switch to Lyon was formalised this week after a successful loan from Amiens last season.

L’Equipe‘s report claims Lyon wanted 60 million Euros to consider selling Ndombele, a powerful defensive midfielder.

There is a clear reason why they want a substanital fee.

Website Olympique et Lyonnais report Amiens are due a 20 per cent fee of any future sale, reducing Lyon’s profit margin.

Meanwhile, Lyon are also keen to ensure Ndombele’s head is not turned amid the interest of Liverpool and Tottenham.

Le10Sport claim Lyon are planning to offer Ndombele a new contract and a pay rise, to reflect his growing status, instead of the one which was provisionally agreed and signed off on last summer.

Ndombele is currently happy at Lyon but the French side are keen to give him extra reason to want to stay put, and remain in total control of the situation.
