According to Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad, Liverpool are plotting a move to sign Anderlecht winger Jeremy Doku.
It’s claimed that Anderlecht don’t want to sell, but are under financial pressure – and may have to cash in on Doku this summer.
This report states that Liverpool are prepared to offer them a deal in which they sign Doku now, but loan him back to Anderlecht for a season.
That could be appealing to the Belgian side, and it’s noted that Manchester City have pulled off a similar deal to sign Mechelen talent Issa Kabore.
Speaking of City, The Telegraph now claim that they want to sign Doku, and hope that their links to Anderlecht boss Vincent Kompany can help them seal a deal.
The two title-challengers have seemingly hatched their own plans to win the race, so this could become a fascinating battle for the youngster.

Doku, 18, has hit five goals and four assists in 34 games for Anderlecht, and scored his first goal for Belgium the 5-1 UEFA Nations League win over Iceland on Tuesday.
It looks like the speedy wide man is a man in demand, and having missed out on him before, Liverpool will hope to finally land the teenager this summer.
