Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye continues to be linked with Paris Saint-Germain.

According to Telefoot, Everton’s Idrissa Gueye is close to agreeing personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain – but the Toffees remain reluctant to sell.
PSG are losing Adrien Rabiot to Barcelona on a free transfer at the end of the season, and they are now in the market for a new midfielder to come in this month and ultimately fill the void moving forward.
A host of players have been linked with a move to the Parc des Princes, with Watford’s Abdoulaye Doucoure one main name in the frame for this month’s transfer window.
Telefoot now report that the most likely signing is Everton’s Gueye, who is believed to be close to settling on personal terms should PSG agree a fee, most likely loosely negotiated through his agent.
However, it’s claimed that Everton are still reluctant to sell Gueye, and are demanding a huge €45million (£40million) for the Senegalese midfielder, who arrived from Aston Villa in 2015.
Formerly of Lille, Gueye may at least fancy a return to France, and the chance to play for one of Europe’s top clubs at the age of 29 may also be hugely appealing.

Everton’s stance is maybe something of a surprise, given that they already appear to have identified a replacement for Gueye in Wilmar Barrios.
AS Argentina report that Everton want to land Boca star Barrios, another combative midfielder who could seemingly slot into Gueye’s spot in Marco Silva’s side – but unless PSG pay up the money Everton want, Barrios may not head to Goodison Park after all.
