Everton are reportedly keen on Lille’s Rafael Leao.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Everton officials are discussing a move for Lille forward Rafael Leao this summer – but Tottenham Hotspur must enter the race.
The Toffees need a new striker, and have seemingly identified Portuguese talent Leao as a top target after seven goals and two assists in 19 games this season.
Leao, 19, has been likened to Kylian Mbappe (Daily Mail), impressing with his pace and goalscoring ability since leaving Sporting for Lille last summer.
Leao would certainly be an exciting addition to the Everton attack, but they surely won’t be the only club interested, and Tottenham Hotspur should certainly be keen.
Last year, Calciomercato reported that Spurs wanted to sign Leao from Sporting, but he ended up making the move to France with Lille when he rescinded his Sporting contract.
The teenager was unproven at that point, but he’s now shown his quality in France, and Spurs should certainly challenge Everton for his signature this summer.

Leao fits the bill for Spurs; he’s young and has huge potential, whilst he’s positionally ideal too, given that he can play as a centre forward or out wide, offering the flexibility Mauricio Pochettino likes in attack.
Spurs have seemingly had Leao on their radar before, and if Everton – a club who may not even be able to offer European football – have a legitimate shot at a deal, then Tottenham, with their new stadium and consistent top four challenges, should be hugely appealing to the youngster.
