According to The Telegraph, Thiago Silva is willing to slash his wage demands in order to win a Premier League move this summer.
It’s claimed that Silva is willing to drop his demands to below £100,000-a-week. He is believed to be targeting a move to England specifically, which would be an incentivised deal.
Reports from RMC Sport claim that Silva’s demands were around €11million-a-year, which is around £190,000-a-week – and Premier League clubs weren’t keen on paying that.
Silva now seemingly realises that he will have to lower his demands in order to earn his move to the Premier League, with clubs less willing to splash the cash amid the global pandemic.
Factor in that Silva is 35, and he certainly won’t be landing £190,000-a-week in England. These new demands may be more palatable though, with two clubs seemingly keen.
Tottenham Hotspur are claimed to be interested. Jose Mourinho wants to bolster his back line this summer, with Jan Vertonghen set to leave for free.

Silva could provide similar experience, but Everton are keen too. Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti signed Silva for both AC Milan and PSG, so a reunion could be appealing.
Spurs may have a greater shot at European football though, and Silva will no doubt have plenty of interest – especially if he really is lowering his demands.
