Fulham’s deal for Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui may be stalling.
According to TEAMtalk, Derby County wanted to sign defender Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui – and The Guardian claim his move to Fulham is now ‘stalling’.
The Rams may do some late loan business on deadline day, with Frank Lampard looking to bolster his squad ahead of Friday’s trip to Preston North End.
Defensive reinforcements appear to be on Lampard’s wish list, and an international captain has been on his radar according to reports today.
TEAMtalk claim that Derby were looking to sign Slavia Prague centre back Ngadeu-Ngadjui today, with Fulham leading the race for his signature.
However, The Guardian now report that Ngadeu-Ngadjui’s move has stalled, which may just give some hope to Derby that they can swoop in with a move.
Cardiff and Crystal Palace are also believed to be keen, meaning Derby would face a huge battle with Premier League clubs if they launched a last-gasp move for the defender.
Ngadeu-Ngadjui, 28, made his name with Nurnburg and Botosani before heading to the Czech Republic with Slavia Prague in 2016.
Cameroon’s skipper has been a rock-solid defender and even impressed with his goal tally, and amid links to a host of English clubs, he may be a name to keep an eye on even if his Fulham move falls through.
