According to The Mirror (13/09, West Bromwich Albion are closing in on a deal to sign Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.
It’s claimed that Gallagher is keen to join West Brom, and the move will go through as soon as Frank Lampard signs off on it.
Lampard wants to see Gallagher in Premier League action, believing that he can take his game to the next level with top-flight games.
Chelsea seemingly see Gallagher’s long-term future at Stamford Bridge, hence the decision to loan him out again rather than sell him.
The Daily Mail reported on Saturday that Leeds United were so confident of Gallagher’s fit in Marcelo Bielsa’s system that they’re willing to purchase him.
That doesn’t seem to be what Chelsea want in this latest report, with West Brom now closing in on a season-long loan deal.

Gallagher, 20, spent last season on loan at Charlton Athletic and Swansea City, and hit a combined six goals and 11 assists.
West Brom couldn’t get through Leicester City today, so adding some more energy and goal threat to Slaven Bilic’s midfield could really help.
