The future of Tottenham Hotspur’s goalkeeping loanee Pau Lopez is set to be an interesting issue for Spurs this summer.
The Spaniard was signed on loan from Espanyol last summer. Mauricio Pochettino was a fan of his from his time managing the Barcelona club and decided to bring him in until the end of the season.
However, Lopez has not managed to force his way ahead of Hugo Lloris or Michel Vorm in the pecking order and with Luke McGee thriving out on loan at Peterborough United it is hard to see why Spurs would keep him.
Reports from Spain are now suggesting that Tottenham are having doubts about signing the player.

Mundo Deportivo claims that Espanyol have no desire to take the player back, as they explore new avenues on the goalkeeping front. Tottenham meanwhile are not sure he has developed enough during his time in North London to warrant a permanent deal.
Diario La Grada are reporting that Spurs are still interested in signing him permanently, but only if they can negotiate a lower price than the current £6 million buy-clause they have in the loan agreement.
Lopez has not played a single game since joining Tottenham and with goalkeeping options impressive at the club he may be better off looking for a new place to ply his trade.
