Celtic may back away from Motherwell midfielder David Turnbull.

According to The Scottish Sun, Celtic have been left disappointed that their bid for Motherwell midfielder David Turnbull has been leaked.
The Bhoys are looking for reinforcements to aid Neil Lennon’s squad, and Motherwell teenager Turnbull has emerged as a top target after a 16-goal campaign.
It’s believed that Celtic made a verbal offer for Turnbull last week, but Celtic are disappointed that the news was leaked to the public – just days after the bizarre ‘transfer meeting leak’, which hasn’t yet been verified.
The report claims that Celtic are now considering other options, with the Daily Record noting that Celtic are reluctant to pay the £3million that Motherwell want.
That will be majorly frustrating to Celtic fans, who saw the Bhoys take a similar approach when pursuing Hibernian midfielder John McGinn, before losing him to Aston Villa.

That stance really backfired as McGinn made a huge impact at Aston Villa, and with English clubs keen on Turnbull too, the risk a similar situation playing out.
The price tag is even similar, and Celtic must learn from missing out there by moving to get 19-year-old Turnbull signed up – even if they’re frustrated by the bid being made public over the last week.
