Tottenham Hotspur are being linked with Celta Vigo’s Stanislav Lobotka.

According to El Desmarques, Celta Vigo are set to confirm the signing of Nordsjaelland midfielder Mathias Jensen – but he won’t be replacing Tottenham target Stanislav Lobotka.
Jensen, 22, has come up through the ranks with Nordsjaelland, and has become one of the top young talents in Danish football, being called up to his country’s preliminary World Cup squad before being cut before the tournament.
The midfielder has attracted great interest in recent months, and Celta have now seemingly moved to secure his signature in a deal worth around €6.7million (£6milion), with Jensen following in the footsteps of Celta star Lobotka.
Lobotka made the same move last summer, leaving Nordsjaelland in order to join Celta, and the Galician side are now looking to repeat the trick by signing Jensen to replace Daniel Wass.
That’s one interesting part of the report from El Desmarques; they claim that Jensen is a replacement for Wass, and not for Lobotka, who is receiving fresh interest according to reports.
The Mirror claim that Tottenham Hotspur are considering a £31million move for Lobotka before Thursday’s transfer deadline, with Mauricio Pochettino keen to land another midfielder.

The 23-year-old Slovakian international starred in Spain last season, impressing with his ability to dictate the game, but Celta have no plans to let him go unless his release clause is activated.
Their plan appears to be for Jensen and Lobotka to reunite in the Celta midfield next season having played together at Nordsjaelland, and Spurs may find it difficult to lure Lobotka away this week.
