Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on Crystal Palace teenager Kian Flanagan.
General view of Selhurst Park
According to The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in raiding London rivals Crystal Palace to sign youngster Kian Flanagan this summer.
Spurs have been focused on developing young homegrown players under Mauricio Pochettino’s management, with the likes of Kyle Walker, Danny Rose, Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Harry Kane all key players for England now thanks to Pochettino.
The likes of Kyle Walker-Peters, Harry Winks, Marcus Edwards and Kazaiah Sterling are seemingly set for stardom in the coming years, but Tottenham aren’t stopping there.
In fact, The Sun report that Tottenham are interested in signing Crystal Palace playmaker Kian Flanagan this summer, having impressed for the Eagles’ under-23’s this season, rather than playing for the club’s academy.

The 17-year-old midfielder was born in England but plays for Ireland at youth level right now, and has been catching the eye of scouts from Tottenham as well as Liverpool.
Remaining in London and joining one of the top youth setups in England could be appealing to Flanagan, but Palace almost certainly won’t want to let one of their top young prospects leave for Tottenham again having lost John Bostock to Spurs in 2008 – though his career didn’t quite pan out as expected.
Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha
Flanagan isn’t the only Palace player wanted by Tottenham, as The Times report that Spurs are keen on winger Wilfried Zaha – another product of the Palace academy – but would have to pay £40million.
Flanagan wouldn’t cost anywhere near that amount, but Spurs may well be hoping to complete a double raid on their London rivals this summer by snapping up the teenager and Zaha.
