What a season it has been for Tottenham Hotspur loanee Oliver Skipp.
Spurs sent their 20-year-old academy prospect out on loan to Norwich City last summer and by virtue of the fact that he has started all 38 of their Championship games, it should illustrate that he’s been a huge hit at Carrow Road.
In fact, Skipp might be one of the division’s Player of the Season candidates after helping the Canaries to the brink of promotion.
Daniel Farke’s side have a 14-point cushion in the automatic promotion places with only 24 more points on offer.
Barring a massive upset, the Tottenham midfielder will have a Premier League promotion on his burgeoning CV in the very near future.
Fans of the North London club have kept a keen eye on Skipp’s progress all season and many supporters have clamoured for his return to Jose Mourinho’s senior side this summer – and those may be getting their wish.
Alasdair Gold, who covers Tottenham for Football London, revealed that the Lilywhites do expect the England Under-21 international to play a part in Mourinho’s senior squad next term.
And there just might be room because if we’re honest, Moussa Sissoko and Harry Winks haven’t had great seasons under the Portuguese and both midfielders may be offloaded during the summer, which may open the door for Skipp to compete.
