Tottenham Hotspur players are loving training under Ange Postecoglou whilst Chris Davies is making an impact too.
Ange Postecoglou and Chris Davies are creating a great atmosphere at Tottenham Hotspur with players loving their training sessions.
That is according to Football London reporter Alasdair Gold, who has been speaking on YouTube about Tottenham.
Gold claims that he has heard the Tottenham players absolutely love training right now and have been ‘wowed’ by the sessions under Postecoglou.
Gold heaped praise on Postecoglou for assembling a coaching staff – none of whom he has worked with previously – and getting them singing from the same hymn sheet.
It’s added that there is a lot of praise around the Tottenham training ground heading the way of Chris Davies, who has taken on the responsibility of running coaching sessions.
“The training sessions, they are wowed by them, the players,” said Gold. “I don’t know he does it, one of his biggest masterstrokes has to be being able to assemble a coaching staff from scratch, transfer his entire ideas and philosophy to them, and getting them creating these amazing sessions because, honestly, I’ve heard from people in and around the club, people in and around the players, everyone, just how much these training sessions are fantastic right now.”
“We know football, we know at some stage that disillusioned players will always turn and criticise training sessions at some point but, right now, they’re loving it. There’s a lot of praise coming Chris Davies’ way, the senior assistant head coach, he’s obviously doing a lot of running of the sessions and a lot of planning of things and running it by Postecoglou,’ he added.

Who is Tottenham’s Chris Davies?
Davies has been almost tied to Brendan Rodgers throughout his coaching career.
The Watford-born coach did have a brief playing career with Reading but retired at just 19 due to injuries.
Davies turned to coaching, taking on roles at Leicester City and then New Zealand side Hawke’s Bay United.

Davies then became Rodgers’ assistant manager at Swansea City at the age of just 25 having known each other from Reading.
The 38-year-old followed Rodgers to Liverpool and whilst he briefly coached at Reading in 2016, he reunited with Rodgers at Celtic months later.
Davies followed Rodgers again as he moved on to Leicester in 2019, working together until their departure in April of this year.
Rodgers has hailed Davies as a ‘magnificent coach’ in years gone by and Tottenham are benefiting from his input under Postecoglou.
What’s incredible is that Davies didn’t actually appear to be Postecoglou’s top choice.
Postecoglou wanted to take John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan to London having worked together at Celtic, but they said no – leading to Davies joining Spurs and seemingly making a huge impcat.
