Liverpool have been scouting Maximilian Beier as they join Everton in the race for the Hoffenheim attacker.

Everton face competition from rivals Liverpool in the race to sign Hoffenhaim talent Maximilian Beier.

That is according to Sport Bild reporter Christian Falk, who has taken to social media to report on Beier’s future.

The January transfer window is fast approaching and Premier League clubs appear to be looking towards the Bundesliga.

Stuttgart forward Serhou Guirassy is a man in demand but it sounds like Hoffenheim have a top attacking talent of their own…

Liverpool rivalling Everton in Maximilian Beier race

Sport Bild reporter Christian Falk now reports that Hoffenheim talent Maximilian Beier is a wanted man ahead of January.

Falk claims that there has been ‘concrete interest’ from both Brentford and Everton.

It’s added that Liverpool have been scouting Beier as they eye up a move of their own.

However, Falk notes that Beier has agreed a new contract with Hoffenheim, committing his future to the club until 2027.

The deal is thought to have a release clause though, meaning Hoffenheim aren’t absolutely protected from losing Beier.

Premier League interest seemingly isn’t going to go away but at least Hoffenheim are trying to ensure a payday down the line.

Who is Liverpool target Beier?

Beier spent time in the youth ranks of Energie Cottbus before heading to Hoffenheim in 2018.

The 21-year-old spent the last two seasons on loan at Hannover 96, hitting 15 goals and seven assists in 68 games.

Capable of playing up front or out wide, Beier has now exploded as a Bundesliga talent.

Beier has smashed six goals in eight Bundesliga games this term and is now emerging as a prospect for the German national team.

Praised for his ‘ferocious’ pace, Beier is now turning heads and Jurgen Klopp appears to be keen on his compatriot.

It’s unclear just how much Beier would cost with his release clause, but Liverpool’s interest will leave Everton fearing missing out.
