Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe is now ‘deep in thought’ over an offer to join Turkish side Besiktas on a three-year deal.
Nicolas Pepe is weighing up a move to Turkey with Besiktas pushing to sign the Arsenal winger this summer.
That is according to RMC Sport reporter Fabrice Hawkins, who claims that Besiktas have offered a three-year contract to Pepe.
It’s stated that the Arsenal winger is ‘deep in thought’ right now as he considers whether to make the move to Turkey.
Hawkins adds that Arsenal are deciding whether or not to allow Pepe to leave the club for absolutely nothing.
Pepe has no future at Arsenal and the Gunners may simply allow him to walk away for free in order to get him off the books.
Hawkins believes this decision could heavily impact a transfer as Arsenal demanding a fee could cause problems for Besiktas.
The coming days will be vital but Arsenal may well feel that they are better off just letting Pepe go and bringing this story to an end.

Nicolas Pepe simply must leave Arsenal
It wasn’t supposed to be this way.
Arsenal thought they had landed a future superstar when they splashed out a staggering £72million to sign Pepe from Lille in 2019.
The Ivorian showed promising signs at first and looked a huge threat upon his arrival in the Premier League.
Pepe’s form tailed off though and his lack of consistency ultimately ended up with him losing his place under Mikel Arteta.

Bukayo Saka’s rise didn’t exactly help either; Pepe is a left-footed winger who operates on the right, the exact role in which Saka emerged as a sensation.
Saka effectively forced Pepe out of the Arsenal side and the 28-year-old spent last season on loan at Nice in France.
With no future at Arsenal, Pepe must leave on a permanent basis and get his career kickstarted again.
A move to Saudi Arabia has collapsed and Besiktas now looks like his best option for an Arsenal departure.
This certainly won’t have been what Pepe had in mind four years ago but the time has come for him to leave North London for good.
