Leeds United take on QPR in the Championship this weekend as they continue their hunt for promotion to the Premier League. It follows their dramatic draw against another West London club in Fulham during the week.
It is also a chance for Leeds to show just how much they have improved from the start of the season.
Leeds lost their opening game of the season against QPR, 3-0 at Loftus Road.
It was a poor performance from Leeds which had fans in West Yorkshire concerned that Garry Monk’s appointment would be a false dawn of hope at Elland Road.
Since then they have pushed on and are now fourth in the Championship, still hunting automatic promotion.
Speaking to his press conference this afternoon Monk admitted he sees the game as a chance to show just how far his Leeds side have come.
The Yorkshire Evening Post quote him as stating:
“What a great opportunity to show the contrast between where we are now and where we were then.”
It was reported by The Mirror in August that controversial Leeds chairman Massimo Cellino considered relieving Monk of his duties after that horror start.

Leeds take on a different QPR this weekend. Ian Holloway is in charge of the club now, after Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s sacking earlier in the season.
Monk will still hope to use the tie as a marker, by claiming a crucial three points.
