Rangers have been linked with a move for Kyle Lafferty, but also to sell Alfredo Morelos.

Glasgow Rangers are closing in on a move for striker Kyle Lafferty, The Daily Record report.
The move couldn’t be better timed for Rangers after he struck a winner against Celtic a week ago, with Steven Gerrard’s side facing the champions in early September.
It would be an impressive move for the Gers to bring Lafferty back to Ibrox, but the shine would be taken off it if they sell Alfredo Morelos too.
Last night it emerged French side Bordeaux have made an offer to sign the Colombian.
If Rangers did sign Lafferty and sell Morelos then they would turn a decent profit, but that would be beside the point.

They would not necessarily be strengthening, just standing still, or depending on your view whether Lafferty or Morelos is the better player, narrowly improving or regressing.
Can Lafferty, at 30, lead the line for Rangers all season, with just Umar Sadiq in support?
In addition to Morelos he is a very fine signing, and would put Rangers in a stronger place than they were beforehand.
Signed as a replacement for Morelos, then the shine will be taken off the transfer.
