Should Celtic join hunt for Scott McTominay?

Manchester United are reportedly ready to send Scott McTominay out on loan, The Sun report.
English Championship sides held interest in the summer, as did Rangers last year, but it could be Celtic who can offer McTominay the best prospects.
McTominay, 21, has struggled for game time at United this season and needs a move to play more regularly.
A move to Celtic on loan for the rest of the season would help his prospects.
The young Scot would have to compete for a place, but doing so with Youssouf Mulumbu is less daunting than Paul Pogba.
It would still be competitive, but with Scott Brown 33, Celtic need to use him sensibly.

Brendan Rodgers has demonstrated a proven track record of trying to integrate young players and McTominay could benefit from working under the Northern Irishman.
As a short term move, until the end of the season, Celtic and McTominay would be wise to test each other out.
If a United career does not work out for the young talent, then Celtic can position themselves to sign him permanently.
On a loan deal, there’s little for Celtic to lose from bringing him in.
