The Barcelona midfielder would be an excellent addition for West Ham United.

Manuel Pellegrini the head coach

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini will surely be looking to bolster his midfield ranks in January, with Jack Wilshere proving to be unreliable from a fitness perspective, and Carlos Sanchez ruled out with a long-term injury.

Have spent in excess of £100 million in the summer, however, Pellegrini might just be forced to be thrifty in his player recruitment next month.

According to the Independent, Barcelona’s Denis Suarez could be available for just £14 million in January, and the Hammers should make an ambitious move for the Spaniard.

The 24-year-old is a wonderfully talented and technically proficient footballer, although he is struggling for game time at the Camp Nou.

Suarez possesses all of the qualities that West Ham currently lack in the middle of the park. He is comfortable in possession, is an excellent passer of the football and he has wonderful vision.

The former Celta Vigo ace would be an excellent long-term replacement for Mark Noble, and he would undoubtedly improve the Hammers’ midfield instantly.

The one question mark hanging over his head would be whether or not he can hack the robust nature of the Premier League.

Suarez has spent time in England, though, during a two year spell with Manchester City from 2011-2013, but he made just two appearances for them.

For just £14 million, however, he will be well worth taking a punt on, and if Pellegrini does manage to bring the Spaniard to the London Stadium, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for the club.
