Playmaker Sergi Canos has been vital to everything Dean Smith’s side have done this season and he is expected to start on Saturday after captaining the Bees on Tuesday evening against Birmingham.
Sky Sports claimed back in January 2017 that 21-year-old attacker Canos – who cost Norwich £2.5million (BBC Sport) before joining Brentford permanently, was interesting Leeds during Garry Monk’s spell in charge.
Now, the former Liverpool and Barcelona star will be looking to put the sword to Leeds, and he certainly boasts the qualities necessary to break down Pontus Jansson and Liam Cooper.
His close footwork, eye for goal and flair with and without the ball causes problems for any defence, and he could haunt Leeds on their own turf this weekend.
Leeds must be wary and respectful of the attacker’s qualities, and look to prevent him from having time on the ball where he is able to produce his very best.
