Joshua King is looking for a salary of £90,000 per week at his new club, amid reported interest from West Ham United.
It has been reported by The Express & Star that Bournemouth striker King is looking for what he was being paid by the Cherries in the Premier League.
That was £90,000 per week, according to the report, which has added that West Bromwich Albion are not pursing a deal for the Norway international striker.
The Guardian reported on October 8 that West Ham are interested in the former Manchester United prospect.
The report claimed that the Hammers have held talks with the striker over a move to the London Stadium before the summer transfer window in England closes next week.
Too expensive for West Ham United?
West Ham could do with a new striker as Sebastien Haller did not have a great time last season and Michail Antonio is a winger by trade.
However, paying £90,000 per week to a 28-year-old who did not have a great season himself in 2019-20 may be too expensive for the Hammers.
According to WhoScored, King scored six goals and provided four assists in 24 Premier League starts last season, while in 2018-19, he scored 12 goals and provided three assists in 34 league starts.
