Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly want Copenhagen forward Robert Skov.

FC Copenhagen have four games left in the 2018/19 season, meaning Robert Skov still has plenty of time to break a 21-year-old goal-scoring record.

No player has hit the back of the net more than 28 times in a single Superligaen campaign since the legendary Ebbe Sand for Brondby back in 1997/98. But Skov is well placed to match Sand’s achievements, having scored 24 goals in 26 games for Copenhagen across the current campaign.

The fact that Skov is a winger rather than a centre-forward, like Sand, makes his current tally even more remarkable.

No wonder he is attracting interest from elsewhere with Sky Sports reporting that Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham, Wolves and Watford want to bring the Danish starlet to the Premier League this summer.

And, while hoping that his record still stands this time next month, Sand has taken the time to pay tribute to a player who has history in his sights.

“It is wild that my record has been allowed to stand for 21 years and I hope it will be allowed to stand a little longer. But (Skov) has a good opportunity to score more than 28 goals this season,” the former Denmark international told TipsBladet.

“Robert has had a fantastic season, and then it is deeply impressive that he has scored as many goals as midfielder. He has a fantastic left foot. It is really nice what Robert has done.”

Corriere dello Sport claims that Copenhagen could demand just £5 million for their mercurial 22-year-old, which could make Skov well worth the risk for Tottenham, West Ham, Watford or Wolves.
