Tottenhamare reportedly eyeing three moves already.
Tottenham are making progress with move for Andre Gomes and Ryan Sessegnon, report The Sun, and are also exploring a loan move for Gareth Bale.
These moves would improve an already terrific Tottenham side, but there will still be work for chairman Daniel Levy to do.
Gomes would address one of Tottenham’s weaknesses in central midfield, with Mousa Dembele’s presence missed at times.
But this does not account for the decline of Victor Wanyama, who is playing like a midfielder who needs replacing. This would require two midfielders rather than one.
Gareth Bale’s versatility would mean he could step in up front and held deputise for Harry Kane when required.
He does though offer the alternate stylistic option of Fernando Llorente.
The Spaniard has proved an effective plan B for Tottenham this season, and was key to wins over Ajax and Manchester City.
His contract is set to expire and Spurs need to find a new target man, who is happy playing second fiddle to Kane. That won’t be easy.
There are also issues at right-back, with Kieran Trippier’s poor form. Is it time to put trust in Kyle Walker-Peters, or pay up for Aaron Wan-Bissaka?
Questions over the future of Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld, both who have just one year left on their deals, mean both could need replacing.
The reported triple swoop will help, but Tottenham will still have plenty to do. How much appetite does chairman Daniel Levy have to fill all of the team’s needs?
