Tottenham are reportedly planning a move for talented West Brom right-back.
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly planning a move for West Bromwich Albion right-back Nathan Ferguson.
The Sun report Spurs could make a move to sign Ferguson in January.
A move for Ferguson would surely spell the end for Tottenham talent Kyle Walker-Peters.
Walker-Peters began this season as Tottenham’s first choice right-back.
Against Watford he was not even on the bench at the weekend, despite some very suspect recent form from Serge Aurier.
Ferguson, 19, is of the same age profile of Walker-Peters, who won the under-20 World Cup with England two years ago.
Walker-Peters was last week linked by The Sun with a loan move to Crystal Palace. This would tally up with his recent lack of use.
Walker-Peters began the season in Tottenham’s team but then picked up an injury and has been unable to win his place back, despite returning in the Carabao Cup match with Colchester.
Spurs also have the option to play Juan Foyth at right-back, with the defender recently featuring in the position for Argentina, as he did for his club in pre-season.
Ferguson is a bright prospect, but if Spurs were serious about Walker-Peters, this one wouldn’t even be an option.
The 22-year-old is running out of time to make the right-back position his. If he can’t do so by January, then his task could become more complicated.
