Tottenham Hotspur could sign Ajax starlet Danilo Pereira da Silva for as little as £5 million as his contract runs down, according to CalcioNapoli24.
Barely a day goes by without one of Ajax’s star players being linked with a big-money move away from the Johan Cruyff Arena but, as of Friday, there is a new name in the gossip columns.
Unlike Donny Van de Beek, Nicolas Tagliafico and co, 21-year-old Danilo is far from an established part of Erik Ten Hag’s first team squad with just 18 minutes of Eredivisie football under his belt in 2019/20.
But that has not stopped the interest from rolling in.
CalcioNapoli24 reports that Benfica, Spurs and, as you might imagine given the name of the publication, Napoli are among Danilo’s many admirers.
With the former Santos starlet set to become a free agent in just two years, the report adds that Ajax would be tempted by offers of somewhere in the region of £5 million.

Whether north London is the right destination for Danilo to unlock his undoubted potential, however, is another discussion altogether.
Although he continues to argue otherwise, Spurs boss Jose Mourinho does not have a particularly impressive track record when it comes to blooding young talent.
If Troy Parrott cannot get a game for Tottenham, what chance would Danilo have?
The Brazilian scored 19 goals in 33 matches for Ajax’s reserves in the Dutch second division this season. And, in just his second senior appearance, he found the net in a Europa League clash with Getafe in February.
