Leeds United fans have recently had plenty of reason to be cheerful about the club’s current form. A win against Burton Albion today has moved the club up to ninth in the Championship and just one point off the play-offs.

But off the pitch Leeds fans will no doubt still be worried about the running of the club under the ownership of Massimo Cellino.

Reports this morning in Italy however suggested that Cellino is getting close to selling the club. Tuttosport reported that Andrea Radrizzani, who has been linked with a takeover before, is all set to buy the club from Cellino.

He has been tweeting today during Leeds’ win v Burton.

First of all, he seemed very happy when Souleymane Doukara sealed the win in the 90th minute:

He also gave some short but assertive answers to direct questions from Leeds fans. The Italian businessman made it clear that he had not spoken to Tuttosport but also suggested via a retweet he was interested in investment in the club:

Leeds are in brilliant form and are edging toward the top six. If Cellino were to go then Leeds fans might be in dreamland.

Time will tell how this latest rumour develops.
