Fabio played under Nottingham Forest manager Aitor Karanka at Middlesbrough and Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.

Fabio has previously worked with current Forest manager Aitor Karanka, who signed the 22-year-old former Manchester United full-back for Boro from Cardiff City in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by The Nottingham Post to be worth £2 million.

The Brazilian left-back is a good footballer who has done well in the Championship, and Forest fans will be interested to know just how highly he rates manager Karanka.

Back in January 2017, the 27-year-old compared Karanka to former Manchester United manager and club legend Sir Alex Ferguson, having played under both of them.
Ferguson is one of the greatest football managers of all time, and won the Premier League 13 times, the FA Cup on five occasions and the Champions League twice with United.
“I think they are quite similar because Sir Alex believes in a good defence and going forward from there and I think Karanka has that mentality as well,” Fabio told GazzetteLive in January 2017.

Fabio clearly rates Karanka highly, and perhaps the chance to work with the Spaniard at Forest could be tempting for the Middlesbrough full-back.
The Brazilian, who started 18 matches and made six substitute appearances in the Championship for Middlesbrough last season, would be a good signing for Forest, who are aiming to win promotion to the Premier League.
