Reported Newcastle United target Thomas Robert has told Sky Sports that he wants to move to the Premier League this summer.
Robert, son of former Newcastle player Laurent, is currently at Marseille – but his contract expires at the end of the season.
The winger has told Marseille that he wants to leave, amid rumours that he could make a move to St. James’ Park.
The Chronicle suggest that Newcastle are interested in signing Robert, as they look to snap up the prospect.
Newcastle are in a battle with Rangers and Celtic for the attacker.
But it seems that Robert would pick a move to the Magpies over the rest of the competition.

“I need to prove to everybody that I can play in a bigger team. I need to stay free of injury and help the team win,” he said.
“I have told Montpellier that I can’t sign with them again unless I can play in the first team. Now I am free from Montpellier and can go somewhere else in the new season.
“My dream is to play in the Premier League in England – for me, it’s the best competition in the world.”
If Robert could go on to have a similar career to that of his dad at Newcastle then he would turn into an excellent signing.
Laurent made 181 appearances for Newcastle over a four year stint, scoring on 32 occasions.
