RTP in Portugal recently reported that Campos will leave Lille as their sporting director this summer and will join Tottenham to work with his Portuguese compatriot Jose Mourinho, who is the head coach of the Premier League club.
French publication L’Equipe has claimed that Campos has turned down an offer from Newcastle.
The Magpies’ prospective new owners, Saudi Arabia’s PIF, reportedly want the Portuguese as their new director of football.
PIF made a huge offer to Campos, but he has rejected it, according to the report in L’Equipe.
However, the Lille sporting director has dismissed such speculation, and has said that he has had no contact from any club.
Portuguese publication Record has even claimed that Campos wants to continue in his current role at French club Lille.
Campos told Record: “I have no contacts with any other clubs.”
Premier League table
