The Bournemouth hitman would be an exceptional addition for Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham’s need for another top class striker has been highlighted once again this season.
Harry Kane has missed large chunks of the campaign on two separate occasions, and whilst Fernando Llorente is a decent back-up, he is not at the level required.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino will surely be looking to add another striker to his ranks this summer, and Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson would be a superb addition for the north London outfit.
Tottenham were linked with a move for the 27-year-old in January, according to a report from the Mirror, but a move failed to materialise.
That might have something to do with his price-tag, with the Daily Mail claiming at the time that the Cherries value Wilson at £75 million.
It is highly doubtful that Spurs would pay anything like that for Wilson, so some kind of compromise would have to be reached.
The Bournemouth ace has been in superb form this season, racking up 15 goals and 10 assists in 31 appearances in all competitions thus far.
He is powerful, possesses plenty of pace, and would offer Tottenham an entirely different option in the final third.
Wilson could pay alongside Kane as part of a two, or even operate in a wider position.
Tottenham need to spend big to address the problems they face when Kane is out for a prolonged period of time, and as things stand, there are not too many better options for them than Bournemouth’s Wilson.
