Premier League champions Manchester City are keen to sign Real Madrid’s La Liga superstar Toni Kroos.

We’d happily give a penny for Leroy Sane’s thoughts this morning with El Confidencial claiming that Manchester City are keen to sign his Germany international team-mate Toni Kroos.
One of the most gifted and decorated midfielders of the 21st century, Kroos has won 20 trophies throughout a distinguished career at Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. And Pep Guardiola knows just how influential the 29-year-old can be, having worked with him during the 2013/14 season at the Allianz Arena.
But Guardiola is not the only man at The Etihad who knows Kroos well. Sane has worked with the 2014 World Cup winner at international level, after all.
And with Kroos potentially on his way to Manchester, his decision to question Sane’s attitude after the winger was infamously dropped from Joachim Low’s 2018 World Cup squad could take on extra significance.
“Sometimes you have the feeling with Leroy’s body language that it is all the same whether we win or lose,” Kroos told The Guardian in September.
“He has to improve his body language. He’s a player who has everything you need to be a world-class player but sometimes you have to tell him he has to perform better.

“Pep has the same problem at the moment – he’s trying to get the best out of him. Maybe the head coach (Low) looked at his performances for the national team and wasn’t happy.”
Since then, Sane has started to bring his exceptional club form onto the international stage, starring against Serbia and Holland during March’s international break and scoring a clinical volley against the latter.
It seems that Kroos’ tough love has had a positive impact on one of the world’s most exciting talents. And, should Kroos swap Madrid for Manchester, that should only benefit his young compatriot.
