Reported Leicester City, Southampton and Burnley target Omar Elabdellaoui says he wants to remain at Olympiacos beyond this summer, SDNA report.
The Norway international right-back’s contract expires this summer.
According to SDNA, Leicester City, Southampton and Burnley are all keen.
The Premier League trio could sign him on a free transfer when his contract in Greece expires.
But the player has told reporters he wants to remain at the club despite interest elsewhere.
“It is clear that I want to continue here in Olympaicos,” Elabdellaoui responded.
Sportime reported over the weekend how Elabdellaoui has a verbal agreement with Olympiacos over a new three-year deal worth over £2 million.
But SDNA refute those claims by saying there has been very little contact.
Leicester, Southampton and Burnley still have plenty of time to convince the player to move to the Premier League, but current suspension may alter summer plans.
The Foxes lost Ricardo Peirera to a long-term ACL injury. However, with the Covid-19 suspension, the Portuguese right-back may end up missing fewer games than expected.
Burnley, on the other hand, could be on the lookout for a long-term Phil Bardsley replacement.
Southampton will lose Kyle Walker-Peters when he returns after his loan. But the Saints could soon have Cedric Soares back from his loan at Arsenal.
