Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United reportedly want Swansea City’s Daniel James in the summer transfer window.

According to The Telegraph, Leeds wanted to sign James from Swansea in the January transfer window.
The West Yorkshire outfit reportedly made a bid of £1.5 million rising to £7m if they are promoted in order to secure the services of the 21-year-old.
The youngster, who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder, reportedly had a medical, but the deal collapsed late on.
Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa spoke highly of the 21-year-old at the time, as quoted on Leeds Live, stating that he would be a “significant transfer”. (click here to read more).
According to The Mirror, Bielsa remains interested in the Wales international winger and may make a move again in the summer of 2019.
Future at Swansea City?
James has given an update on his situation at Swansea, suggesting that he would be happy to sign a new contract with the Swans.
The Welshman, though, has suggested that he will leave the Welsh outfit at some point in his future.
James told The Telegraph: “I think the negotiations are taking place now. I am just waiting on that, I’m happy with it and am letting my agent and the club deal with it and hopefully it happens soon…
“I want to get into the Premier League and I’d love to do it with Swansea. There may be a time (when I have to leave) but that’s in the future.”
