Reported Leeds United target Sergio Romero is considering his future at Manchester United, according to Metro.

ESPN has claimed that Leeds – who have clinched automatic promotion to the Premier League from the Championship – and Everton are interested in signing the goalkeeper from United in the summer transfer window.

Metro has claimed that Romero was disappointed to be overlooked for David de Gea for the FA Cup semi-final tie against Chelsea last weekend.

The Argentina international goalkeeper reportedly feels demoralised that despite mistakes from De Gea, he has not got his chance under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, according to the report.

Metro has further claimed that the former Sampdoria star wants to leave United this summer, with the Red Devils to accept £4 million as transfer fee for the 33-year-old.

Good signing for Leeds United?

Romero is a very good and experienced goalkeeper, and he would be a brilliant signing for Leeds, especially for the reported transfer fee of £4 million.

Kiko Casilla and Illan Meslier are the two main goalkeepers at Elland Road, and head coach Marcelo Bielsa could do with another strong player for that position.
