Will Leeds United sign reported Tottenham Hotspur target Cameron Carter-Vickers before deadline day?

Only a few weeks ago, Leeds United were in desperate need of bringing in defensive quality to their squad following the surprise departure of Pontus Jansson.
The lack of depth and quality in Leeds’ defence would have been a concern for some Leeds fans, but it’s funny how one game can change everything.
Whilst Leeds still need defensive cover, and they may get that in the form of Tottenham centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers, according to TeamTalk, they will feel a little positive following that win against Bristol City.
Leeds fans know what Liam Cooper is all about, but they didn’t know what Brighton loanee Ben White was going to bring to the table, and it is fair to say he has impressed.
Albeit one game, his performance should provide huge encouragement to the Elland Road faithful and it’ll mean that if Carter-Vickers does make the switch to Yorkshire then he might not be playing as regularly as he may have first thought.

If White can add some consistency to his game then it’ll bode very well for Leeds because it’ll mean Cooper will have a regular partner for the season.
But it will also mean that a potential arrival such as Carter-Vickers might not be playing the minutes he would have perhaps first envisaged.
Either way, it would be a win-win situation for Leeds because they have been looking for that competition and that depth in their quest to earn promotion.
