Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur reportedly want to sign Jarrod Bowen from Hull City in the January transfer window.

Hull City star Jarrod Bowen has suggested to Sky Sports that he does not plan to leave the club in the January transfer window, amid speculation that Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur want him.

Sky Sports reported earlier this month that Tottenham scouts have been following Bowen in recent matches.

It was also reported that Spurs may have to pay as much as £20 million in order to secure the services of the 22-year-old, who can operate as a forward or as a winger.

In December 2018, The Daily Mail claimed that Leeds were aiming to make a move for the youngster in the January transfer window.

Bowen, though, has suggested that he does not plan to leave Hull anytime soon, and is hoping to help the Tigers win promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season.

“There is always going to be interest in every single player when you play well, but I’ve got agents that represent me that take care of that and they didn’t say anything to me,” Bowen told Sky Sports when asked about reported interest from Tottenham earlier this month.

“It is nice to see your name linked to some teams, but I am a Hull City player and as far as I’m aware it is just rumours.”

Bowen added regarding a move to the Premier League: “That is everyone at this club’s aim now.

“We have got out of a deep, dark hole and we are looking up. We need to go on a good run and see where it takes us. I think we’re good enough to do it, but we will have to see how it goes.”

Hull City stay

With Hull aiming to finish in the Championship playoffs this season, Bowen need not think about moving to Leeds in the January transfer window even though the Whites are challenging for automatic promotion.

A move to Tottenham will be a step up for the youngster, but he is going to struggle for playing time at the North London outfit.

According to WhoScored, Bowen has made 26 starts and one substitute appearance in the Championship for Hull so far this season, scoring 13 goals and providing three assists in the process.
