Bayern Munich deservedly won the Champions League last month. Hansi Flick turned the season around for the Bavarians and he will be looking to build on what was an incredible campaign.

The German champions looked almost flawless throughout their Champions League campaign. Every single star deserves to play for them again next season, which makes this upcoming transfer window a very interesting one.

It has been confirmed that Bayern will not sign Philippe Coutinho permanently despite his fairly successful loan spell from Barcelona. The Brazilian wasn’t the only player they had on loan, and the Bundesliga champions are allegedly interested in signing the other one on a permanent deal.

Ivan Perisic spent the whole of last season at the Allianz Arena on loan from Inter Milan. The Croatian scored eight goals and provided 10 assists in just 18 starts in all competitions.

The 31-year-old has returned to Inter but Flick has reportedly told Bayern that Perisic is one player who he ‘absolutely wants’ at the club next season (BILD). Bayern are now in talks to sign him permanently this summer, which is good news for the Croatian but a big blow for two Premier League sides.

FC Inter News claimed a few weeks ago that Tottenham Hotspur and newly-promoted Leeds United were interested in signing Perisic before the start of the new season.

Jose Mourinho’s admiration of Perisic has been evident for a while now. The Spurs boss tried to sign the Croatian when he was at the helm at Manchester United and Tottenham have been linked with a move for the World Cup finalist for some time now (read here).

Leeds, on the other hand, are looking to make their mark in their first season back in the Premier League. A player of Perisic’s quality and experience would have definitely come in handy but, sadly, they will have to look elsewhere.

Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is reportedly personally overseeing negotiations for Perisic and a deal is expected to be completed without too many problems as both parties want the same outcome (BILD).
