Reported Leeds United and Aston Villa target Josh Doig has suggested on Twitter that he is not going to leave Hibernian.
Doig is one of the best young left-backs in the Scottish Premiership and has been linked with Premier League duo Leeds and Villa.
The Scottish Daily Mail (print edition, page 96, May 21, 2021) has claimed that Villa and Leeds are among the clubs who want to sign the 19-year-old left-back this summer.
However, judging by the Scottish youngster’s post on Twitter, as shown below, it appears that he does not plan to leave Hibernian this summer.
The 19-year-old has expressed his delight at being named in the Scottish Premiership Team of the Season and cannot wait to “get going again”, clearly a suggestion that he plans to stay at Hibernian.

Both Leeds and Villa could do with a new left-back this summer.
Ezgjan Alioski could leave Leeds this summer, and even if he does stay, head coach Marcelo Bielsa needs to bring in a specialist left-back.
Neil Taylor is leaving Villa, and manager Dean Smith could do with a replacement for the 32-year-old.
While Doig might want to stay at Hibernian, a big offer from Leeds and/or Villa could be tempting for the Scottish club.
