Liverpool enjoyed a magnificent campaign this season, finishing in second spot in the Premier League table and winning their sixth European Cup.

In spite of this, however, Jurgen Klopp will still surely be keen to bolster his ranks at Anfield this summer.

One particular area where Liverpool could improve is central midfield, with the addition of a talented technician surely featuring highly on the German’s wish-list.

And with this in mind, Liverpool should make a move for Ajax ace Donny van de Beek this summer, with French media outlet Le Parisien claiming that he could be available for €55 million (£49 million).

The 22-year-old was in excellent form for Ajax this season, racking up 17 goals and 13 assists in 57 appearances in all competitions from an orthodox central midfield position.

Van de Beek is technically gifted, possesses a wonderful array of passing, and he would offer Liverpool something entirely different in the middle of the park.
