Reported Jack Ross injury update on Sunderland duo Dylan McGeouch, Charlie Wyke

Dylan McGeouch and Charlie Wyke joined Sunderland in the summer transfer window.

Sunderland manager Jack Ross has said that Dylan McGeouch will be fit for the match against Scunthorpe United at home this weekend, as reported by The Chronicle (22:15).

The Black Cats will take on Scunthorpe at the Stadium of Light in League One on Sunday afternoon.

McGeouch is on the sidelines at the moment due to a calf injury he suffered during the pre-season match against St. Mirren.

Positive update

The 25-year-old former Celtic and Hibernian midfielder, who joined Sunderland a free transfer in the summer, has yet to make his competitive debut for the Black Cats.

Sunderland manager Ross has said that McGeouch have a good chance of playing against Scunthorpe on Sunday, as reported by The Chronicle (22:15).

The Chronicle (22:15) has also reported Ross as saying that he hopes to have Charlie Wyke available by the end of the month.

The 25-year-old striker, who moved to Sunderland from Bradford City in the summer transfer window for an initial fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £600,000, a knee injury.

Sunderland manager Ross’s update will excite the fans, as McGeouch and Wyke are very good players who will be key in the Black Cats’ quest to get promoted to the Championship.
