Watford’s Abdoulaye Doucoure signed a new contract this summer, but how much of it will he fulfil?

Reported Tottenham and Everton transfer target Abdoulaye Doucoure has kept the door ajar for both teams despite signing a new contract with Watford.
Doucoure has admitted he will reconsider his options in one year’s time, speaking to the Watford Observer.
He was keen to say that he is currently happy with the Hornets, who won their opening game of the season against Brighton.
He said: “I was linked to maybe leave the club but I was always committed to Watford and I think the ambition with the club is like mine.
“I am very happy to stay here and have a great season with Watford. Of course we will see what happens in the summer but for now I am really happy with my new deal and I made a good choice.”

Doucoure impressed for Watford last season, scoring seven Premier League goals.
The Watford Observer reported earlier this year Tottenham Hotspur were keen on the midfielder, while Teamtalk claimed Everton were keen to sign Doucoure along with Richarlison.
Another strong year for Doucoure will see interest rise, and Watford have shown this summer they will sell if the money is right.
Doucoure certainly is not looking too far into the future despite signing a new contract until 2023, and his comments will ensure he remains on interested clubs’ radar throughout the season.
