Liverpool reportedly want to sign the Bournemouth and Southampton stars.

According to a report fro the Daily Mail, Liverpool are interested in signing Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser and Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster this summer.

The Reds enjoyed a wonderful campaign last season, winning the Champions League and narrowly missing out on the Premier League title by just one point to Manchester City.

It is hard to suggest an area of Liverpool’s squad that is particularly weak and in need of improvement.

Having said that, however, Reds fans would still love to see Jurgen Klopp make some exciting new signings.

So far, Liverpool’s business has been incredibly low key. They have made just two signings, young duo Harvey Elliot and Sepp van den Berg…and the Anfield faithful have been fairly underwhelmed by those additions.

And the signings of Fraser and Forster would surely only annoy them even further still.

Both are decent Premier League players but in truth, they should be nowhere near the Liverpool squad.

It is hard to imagine Klopp’s men reaching an even higher level this season, but if they are to do just that, the German needs to bring truly world-class players into Anfield.

And the Bournemouth and Southampton players clearly do not fit into that category.

Liverpool could, and should, do a lot better than Fraser and Forster.
