Reported Crystal Palace target Mostafa Mohamed shares similarities with Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski, according to former Egypt international Mohamed Emara.
While the Galatasaray striker may not be able to hold a candle to the prolific Pole just yet, we can see where Emara is coming from.
Like Bayern Munich’s irrepressible number nine, Mohamed is an old-school centre-forward thriving in the modern game.
Brilliant in the air and a lethal finisher with both feet, the former Zamalek talisman has scored five times in six Super Lig matches since joining Galatasaray in January.
According to HaberTurk, Mohamed’s exceptional form has caught the eye of Crystal Palace one year after Rangers boss Steven Gerrard failed to lure the the Giza-born 23-year-old to Ibrox (Record).
“He is the number-one striker in Egypt,” Emara, who earned 68 caps for his country between 1995 and 2002, tells OnTimeSport, via KingFut.

“I expect him to shine and I hope he will move to the Bundesliga, especially since his style is similar to Bayern Munich’s striker Lewandowski.”
Unfortunately for Crystal Palace, Galatasaray have no plans to let Mohamed leave so early.
The club’s vice-president made it clear that, even if they receive an offer in the region of £20 million during the summer window, the Super Lig’s answer to Robert Lewandowski is here to stay (Sozcu).
