Sunderland and Bolton Wanderers reportedly want Charlie Wyke of Bradford City.
Wyke suffered a knee injury during Bradford’s recent pre-season friendly match against Sheffield United.
According to Roker Report, the 25-year-old striker will be out of action for at least a month.
The Sunderland Echo has claimed that although Sunderland – who will play in League One next season after getting relegated from the Championship – retain a strong interest in the 25-year-old, the Black Cats’ pursuit of the striker has been complicated by his injury situation.

Sunderland also look set to face a genuine fight from Bolton Wanderers for the services of the former Middlesbrough prospect.
According to The Telegraph & Argus, Bolton manager Phil Parkinson is pushing the Championship club to make a serious bid for the former Carlisle United striker.
Parkinson The Telegraph & Argus: “At the start of the summer we gave the chairman a list of strikers that we thought were realistic and he asked me which one was at the very top of that list.
“I don’t want to discuss the name – I’m sure it’s documented – but we’re going for that one.”
